Project Anchor was founded in 2016 by Marcus Thomas, a native of Shreveport, LA. As a victim of bullying and a suicide survivor, he felt very deeply about the problems that we face. He had a vision for a group that could be a support network for those facing bullying, sexual assault, and hate crimes with out having a grown up bases. " When we go through rough times or even just everyday life, teens and young adults don't just open up to their parents about things they are facing. Many feel uncomfable with sharing this or that they simply don't understand because they are older, that's why i had the idea for Project Anchor, to help people express how they feel and open up but also to empower them and spread love and compassion."
